Sansepolcro - The 27 November, at 21.15 in the Cathedral of Sansepolcro
What is happening in Sansepolcro, in the cultural city? The curious, night owls, you will have noticed the fervent and repeated evidence that, in these days, are engaged in the churches of San Francesco and the Cathedral. A multi-faceted cultural event is taking place, November 27 prossimo alle 21,15, nella Cattedrale di Sansepolcro per poi essere ripetuto alla stessa ora nella Chiesa della propositura ad Anghiari e nella Cattedrale di Arezzo rispettivamente il 4 e l'11 Dicembre. Si tratta de “The Armed Man – A Mass for Peace”, opera composta, nel 2000, da Karl Jenkins per orchestra e coro. Si inizia con la Prima Nazionale a Sansepolcro; l'evento, nato da un'idea di Paolo Fiorucci costituisce anche un valido esempio di collaborazione tra le varie realtà musicali e culturali del territorio. L'ufficialità e l'importanza dell'accadimento è data dai molti patrocini già ottenuti: accanto a varie collaborazioni ci sono, infatti i patrocini dei comuni di Sansepolcro, Anghiari ed Arezzo, della Comunità Montana Valtiberina ed anche della Provincia di Arezzo.
L'idea di Paolo Fiorucci è promossa dalla Corale Domenico Stella con la collaborazione del Coro “Città di Piero” di Sansepolcro, della Corale Don Vittorio Bartolomei di Anghiari e della Società Filarmonica dei Perseveranti di Sansepolcro.
L'evento sarà diretto dal M° Andrea Marzà e, oltre alle quattro associazioni presenti con i propri musicisti e cantori, si esibirà il solista Antonio Medici voce di spicco della Corale Domenico Stella. Inoltre saranno presenti il Baritono Andrea Sari e la Soprano Stella Peruzzi. Si registra infine la partecipazione straordinaria della Mezzosoprano Chiara Chialli reduce dal successo at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome where he participated in the double role of Pantalis and Martha, the Mephistopheles by Arrigo Boito.
